Sculpture exists in the viewer’s own space, inviting the viewer to move around it and look at it from multiple point of view. The artist’s challenge in making sculpture is to be constantly aware of these many viewpoints. To this end, the sculpture is often placed on a revolving stand; the artist rotates the sculpture continuously, assessing the impact of the work from every angle.
