to have seen what I have seen is based on my son’s descriptions of his medical school rotation in the psychiatry ward in a VA hospital. Most of his patients were Viet Nam vets, although a few had served in Iraq, but their common problem was their inability to block out their memories of war. A USN Lieutenant who served in Al Taqaddum, Iraq, from Sept 05 to March 06, had this response to the print:
“When I saw the Iraq print … I must have stood there with my mouth agape in awe. So moving. And I can tell you, in the experience of this Iraq vet, it speaks to me and reflects some of my own thoughts and feelings.”
